Comprising a central eight-pointed star-shaped dish and eight surrounding dishes of elaborate spade shape; each piece with a central rose sprig within a ground densely patterned with smaller floral sprigs interrupted around the edge of the well with a narrow border of scroll devices, the rim edge with pairs of chrysanthemum blossoms at the notches of the central dish orat the scrolls and near the pointed ends of the surrounding dishes, and the underside of the rim with variously spaced clusters of four dots.
